Service League

Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age, and are accepted in to the program on the basis of good health and willingness to volunteer.  Applications are considered without regard to age (except as specified above), sex, race, creed, political affiliation or any other discriminatory reason.

“I didn’t know anyone and the Service League allowed me to get to know people in the community.  I have made new life-long friends.”

Volunteers are provided with administrative directions and orientation by the hospital.  In addition, all volunteers must have a tuberculosis (TB) screening upon entering the program and then a yearly TB screening, as well as education testing – all of which is provided by the hospital.  Volunteers are also required to participate in annual fire and safety classes and in disasters (real and drills).

Volunteers must agree to follow the rules and regulations of the Hospital and Governing Board.  Confidentiality is paramount.  Failure to follow such rules and regulations may result in termination.
