JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resource Generalist handles and processes all personnel/payroll changes and records, sources, screens and refers qualified candidates to departments. As directed, administers, facilitates and explains benefits programs to Hospital employees. Generates and tracks documentation relating to job descriptions, annual physicals, performance evaluations, quarterly activity reports and evaluation summary report. Answers general human resources related questions regarding policy, procedures, union contracts, benefits and record information.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma. Completion of a Human Resource
Generalist Certification course or equivalent.
Work Experience: Previous secretarial experience in a complex and demanding office setting. Previous medical experience/terminology.
Skill Requirements: High degree of clerical skill including typing 45 wpm, word processing. Excellent communication skills.
Special Demands: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in dealing with public, patients, co-workers and Hospital management.
