Being A Physician At Mee

“How striking that a gift as simple as a smile could be so powerful.  What an important act of humanity to look in the eyes (even if there are none), and see a person, not just a problem.”
- A physician at one of Mee’s clinic sharing his experience about a blind patient he treated who was suffering with another bout of chronic asthma.

That’s what it’s like to be a physician at Mee…the work of a doctor – recognizing illness, providing advice and comfort, relieving pain and suffering, and dealing with illness and death – and that part of being a doctor hasn’t changed much even since ancient times.  The skills a physician can be learned through experience, sharpened through practice and focused through specialization and at Mee, we know that medicine is a noble profession.

As a Mee physician, you are a representative of the best it has to offer.  Mee provides physicians with a flexible and compassionate environment to help you utilize your exceptional abilities as a physician.  The advantage of practicing in a more rural setting (such as the Central Coast) is that you can be compassionate, gracious and understanding with your staff and patients.

Physicians at Mee share many responsibilities involved in patient care and work closely with nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, technicians, therapists and family members of patients on a daily basis.

We know that better medical record-keeping, quantitative observation and the development of new drugs and vaccines on the basis of increasing understanding of normal physiology and disease processes have contributed to changes of medical practices in this century.  Although the information necessary for practicing medicine is now more accessible than ever before, opportunities to enjoy your life to the fullest extent haven’t always been possible.  At Mee, we promote an environment in which to be kind, not only to patients and their families, but also to the other healthcare team members that support you.  We believe it’s important to maintain your enthusiasm for the wonderful career you have chosen.
