Jim Stubblefield, MD

About Jim

Dr. Stubblefield has been the Medical Director for Emergency Medical Services for Monterey County California for over 20 years and previously worked as the Medical Director of the Emergency Medicine division with the Salinas Valley Memorial Health Care System. In addition to his work with Salinas Valley Memorial Health Care Systems, he served as Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Mee Memorial Hospital.

The philosophy of his practice is to treat the patient, rather than the condition, and allow patients to receive the most advanced, up-to-date treatments possible.

He received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and earned a medical degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed an internship at the Letterman Army Medical Center and a Residency in Emergency Medicine at the Madigan Army Healthcare System and has received many awards and commendations for his service in the United States Army. He is also certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine
