About Rikin
Rikin joins us from Salinas Valley Health. His distinguished career includes speaker and faculty positions and numerous honors and awards including Top Cardiologist, in Best in California Magazine 2023. His career in formal teaching and mentorship includes Junior Faculty, Clinical Instructor of Medicine, Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, CA and at the University of Queensland School of Medicine, New Orleans, LA. He specializes in electrocardiogram interpretation, stress testing, echocardiography and vascular diagnostic testing. In his free time, he likes to travel, run and play basketball.
Educational Background
Rikin received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean, School of Medicine in Sint Maarten. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Virginia Tech, Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, VA. He was Chief Fellow of Cardiovascular Disease and associate lecturer at the University of Queensland and a fellow of both Structural and Peripheral Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, at Scripps Green Hospital in San Diego prior to joining Salinas Valley Health.
