Emergency Department

When every second counts, count on us.

We’re ready for you or your loved one – with a 6-bed emergency department providing healthcare 24/7. We’re staffed at all times with at least one Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician, three registered nurses, and one bilingual emergency department technician – all experienced and specialty trained in emergency care of newborns through adults. When you need help it’s right here.

The department is skilled in the immediate treatment of medical and surgical emergencies and in providing emergency care for chronic conditions, minor illnesses and injuries. We evaluate each individual’s health needs, stabilize patients that have life-threatening conditions and provide services that are immediately indicated.

The hospital provides definitive care for those patients not requiring outside consultation and makes recommendations for follow up care once a patient leaves our facility. If the needs of the patient cannot be met at Mee Memorial Hospital, referral to specialty services and transfer for definitive care is provided.
