Mee Memorial Foundation

The Foundation is a nonprofit organization that support the programs and services of the hospital. The Foundation operates independently, in the sense that we have our own focus and goals, but our main purpose is to ensure that our community has access to quality healthcare in this and future generations!

Due to cuts in hospital funding on both state and federal levels over the years, many hospitals have struggled to secure financial support and turn to their foundations for assistance. The Foundation’s mission is to adequately “equip, modernize, update and make aesthetically pleasant, the hospital facilities.” We are invigorated by the desire to maintain and provide these locally relevant services!

There are many areas the Foundation has helped and supported community healthcare and we’d love your help doing it! There are also many ways to get involved; overseeing donations, managing endowments and organizing capital campaigns. We also host special events and organize fundraising activities; these efforts serve us all!

Foundation Fact Sheet

    Won’t you join us today?

The government funds salaries, operating costs and contributes to capital projects. But it’s the donors who fund 100 per cent of the equipment used to diagnose, treat and care for patients – from replacing the most basic necessities to investing in sophisticated new technologies! We have worked collaboratively with the Service League, volunteers and hospital staff on many events and opportunities to give back. This is a great chance to be part of something bigger than oneself, and serve a greater good.

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to remember our fallen U.S. veterans, honor those who serve and teach your children the value of freedom is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.

This year, on National Wreaths Across America Day, Dec. 18, 2021, the Mee Memorial Foundation is encouraging the community to support this national effort and help us get 100 wreaths to local veterans graves at the King City Cemetery. You can also help by volunteering or donating to a local sponsorship group.
