Kenny Michioka, FNP,MSN

About Kenny

Kenny has worked in the areas of neonatal intensive care, wound care, managing chronic disease, as well as an urgent care nurse practitioner. He has experience in follow up care, ordering imaging and diagnostics and reviewing lab results, triage and patient education. In addition to his career in nursing, he has worked alongside teachers in Japan during an extensive cultural exchange, was an instructor in the in the March of Dimes Folic Acid & Women's Health courses educating patients about folic acid and its importance, and assisted in a helping patients at a special primary care clinic for the low-income, uninsured, and culturally diverse population of Yolo County. He has been a Kendo Instructor (Japanese Martial Art) and Kendo Dojo in Salinas and is ranked as a 4th-degree Kendo Black Belt by the Northern California Kendo Federation.

Educational Background

Kenny obtained his Family Nurse Practitioner and master's level degree from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA, holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from New York University. New York, NY and a another in Biological Sciences with a minor in Japanese Language & Culture from the University of California, Davis. Davis, CA.
