Bio
Born in Bolivia, Maria comes to us following comprehensive work as an OB/GYN at Central Coast hospitals such as Sierra Vista Medical Center and French Hospital in San Luis Obispo, and Twin Cities Community Hospital, in Templeton, CA, as well as women’s specialty clinics such as San Luis Community Health Centers and Creating Harmony Women's Healthcare. She is a member of the American Medical Association and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists.
Education
Maria obtained her medical and surgery degree from the Facultad de Medicina Universidad Mayor, de San Simon (UMSS), Bolivia, where she also conducted internships at the Elizabeth Seton Hospital, and performed rotations in internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, and rural service. She was president of her class, ranked third academically in medical school and was awarded highest distinction by the Dean's Office. She completed her US residency at Maryland General Hospital, Baltimore, MD and conducted postgraduate work in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Elizabeth's Hospital Center, Youngstown, OH.
