Laboratory Medicine
The Laboratory Medicine Department provides comprehensive diagnostic testing to support disease prevention, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment for both inpatients and outpatients. Our services are delivered by qualified laboratory professionals using modern, automated, and computerized analyzers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting. Most investigations are performed in-house, enabling prompt results and close coordination with the clinical team.
Diagnostic Services:
- Routine Laboratory Testing - Includes complete blood counts (CBC) and standard chemistry panels used for general health assessment and disease monitoring.
- Clinical & Special Chemistry - Biochemical analyses of blood and other body fluids to evaluate organ function, metabolic conditions, and treatment response.
- Coagulation Studies - Tests to assess blood clotting function and monitor bleeding or clotting disorders.
- Immunology - Laboratory tests to evaluate immune system function and assist in the diagnosis of infectious, autoimmune, and inflammatory conditions.
- Blood Bank & Transfusion Services - Blood grouping, cross-matching, and transfusion support are performed in accordance with established safety and quality standards.
- Urinalysis - Chemical and microscopic examination of urine to help detect kidney, urinary tract, and metabolic disorders.
- Microbiology - Culture and sensitivity testing of specimens such as urine, blood, wound, eye, ear, throat, and Group B Streptococcus to identify infectious organisms and guide appropriate therapy.
- Phlebotomy Services - Safe and professional specimen collection performed by trained staff, with attention to patient comfort.
