It is the policy of Mee Memorial Healthcare System to provide excellent customer service to all patients. The hospital will provide financial assistance based on the current federal poverty level for all patients. Further, self-pay patients who do not qualify for financial assistance based on income will be provided with several options for payment of their medical bills. Please clink on the links below to see our policy and obtain an application.
If you do not have insurance, cannot afford to pay for treatment, or are underinsured, programs are available to help reduce your bill. Free care is available for uninsured or underinsured patients, or patients with high medical costs whose family income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) and who have received services for life‑threatening or serious medical conditions. Partial discounts are available for uninsured or uninsured patients, or patients with high medical costs whose family income is at or below 400% of the FPL. Assistance is available regardless of immigration status, and monetary assets are not considered when determining eligibility. In addition, various Covered California, Hospital Presumptive Eligibility, and Medi‑Cal (California Medicaid) programs are available for children and adults with limited income and resources, regardless of immigration status. Medi‑Cal may cover all or part of your bill.
